Enforcement Officer - Berkshire

A Local Authority Berkshire is looking for a Senior Enforcement Officer to join the Planning Team.

The Authority requires an experienced Officer to hit the ground running on a backlog of Planning Enforcement applications. These applications will be a mix of simple cases, which need successfully closing, or more complex cases that require action. The District is varied with a mix or urban and rural areas, containing green belt, conservation areas and towns and villages and the work available will reflect this variety.

In this contract, you will be carrying out site visits and surveying site developments, liaising with members of the public, owners and occupiers of the land and applying your own investigative skills. You will be efficiently and successfully preparing and presenting evidence for written representation appeals, informal hearings, public enquiries and court hearings.

You will need to be a confident communicator, who can work with a broad range of customers and Planning professionals to interpret legislation, and resolve disputes and complaints in a timely manner.

The contract is for 4-6 months with the potential to extend and the Council can offer flexible working arrangements. The role is Inside IR35.
