A rare and exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Planner at one of the UK’s most prestigious and award-winning Property Development Company’s.

As a business they have built an impeccable reputation for delivering internationally renowned regeneration and mixed-use development schemes in London and some of Britain’s largest cities culminating in the creation of places that have had a positive impact on people and their communities.

They are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Planner to work client side and to assist the Planning Project Managers with a variety of tasks that include the preparation of planning submissions for ongoing and new development projects in London.

This will provide the successful candidate will assist with the preparation and submission of applications that vary in size and complexity for some of London’s most high profile and landmark development schemes.

Summary of Main Duties

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of full planning applications for a variety of schemes that will vary in size and complexity.
  • Attendance at, and minuting relevant meetings with consultant teams, pre-application meetings with local authorities coupled with consultation meetings with stakeholders and other bodies.
  • Review and draft reports to support planning submissions
  • Undertake research in to Local Plans and legislation governing key development sites.
  • Assist with the negotiation and monitoring the performance of obligations in relation to S106 Agreements.
  • Monitor compliance with existing planning, listed building and conservation area consents across all active developments.
  • Maintain and update the Planning Applications Database detailing current progress or amendments in relation to the discharge of conditions
  • Build and close working relationships, and liaise with local authority officers regarding a variety of planning matters from committee reports and dates through to the discharge of conditions etc.

The successful candidates will have a degree in Town & Country Planning with practical planning experience acquired through a work placement or internship at a local authority or in the private sector at developer or planning consultancy.

In addition, you will have a natural enthusiasm for planning and development, good design and the creation of great places. You will be a good team player in conjunction with having excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with InDesign is desirable but not essential.
