Senior Town Planner / London / Specialist Planning Consultancy

A specialist planning and development consultancy in London are seeking a MRTPI Senior Planner to join the highly successful team.

Our client are at the cutting edge of planning and development economics and their workload involves large scale regeneration projects, major infrastructure, housing and retail development.

They combine mainstream planning advice with industry leading expertise on socio-economic issues, environmental assessments, infrastructure and development economics including affordable housing and viability.

Key skills and attributes required are below:

• Is able to problem solve and work independently with less oversight from an Associate or Director.
• Will delegate to and/or manage planners.
• Has a good understanding of planning law and is able to manage more complex projects working across various disciplines.
• Will be fully qualified and attends CPDs where knowledge is low or needs refreshing.
• Will assist with or deliver CPDs.
• Will have a clear career plan and may have achieved some career goals.
• Prepares and submits more complex applications independently with less oversight.
• Manages projects.
• Works with local planning officers and is able to negotiate the determination of basic applications.independently and more complex ones with assistance.
• May lead small project client meetings.
• Is able to articulate and defend client positions on issues.
• Plays a key role in the preparation of tenders.
