Principal Planner – Leeds

Our client is one of the leading national planning consultancies with offices throughout the UK and they are on the look out to on board an experienced Planner in their Leeds office. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic Planner to progress in their career and join a highly-reputable and successful Consultancy.

The ideal Principal Town Planner will have the following;

·         Good communication skills

·         Degree educated in relevant discipline

·         MRTPI qualified

·         Excellent report writing skills

·         The ability to mentor junior staff

·         Comprehensive experience in town planning (private sector experience is desirable but not essential)

At your new job, your duties will include;

·         Negotiating and communicating with applicants, agents and consultees

·         Provide pre-application advice and guidance to applicants and agents with the submission of planning applications

·         Managing a caseload of both minor and major applications

·         Support more junior staff

·         Liaising with internal and external clients and statutory bodies, and public consultation, as necessary.
