Play a part in this role which amalgamates both public and private sectors.
About the role
The role will involve providing clients with reliable and timely planning advice to clients, maintaining and developing client relationships, preparing, lodging, and managing planning applications of all scales, managing more junior staff (including designers), and ensuring the business remains profitable.
What you will do:
- Undertake site appraisals for planning with a view to meeting client's commercial objectives.
- Maintain and develop client relationships, including winning new business.
- Prepare, lodge, and manage planning applications of all scales.
- Prepare, submit, and manage planning appeals.
- Ensure that the team hits revenue targets.
- Manage and supervise more junior staff, including planners and designers.
The Successful Candidate
Your experience will include:
- Demonstrable ability to provide sound and timely planning advice.
- Demonstrable history of working within a development control focused role, including applications and appeals.
- Demonstrable ability to build professional working relationships with customers - general public/property developers for example.
- Private-side experience would be ideal (either consultancy or developer).
- Qualified to degree level essential.
- MRTPI (or within a year of) would be ideal.
- Full driver's licence essential.
