Planning Officer/Senior Planner

I'm currently working with a Local Authority in Bedfordshire who are looking for a Planning Officer or Senior Planner to join them for an initial 6 month contract starting in September, with the likely potential of extension. This role is inside IR35 but my client are willing to offer a competitive rate to compensate.

About the role

You will be expected to manage a full case load from start to finish and this includes pre-application advice, erecting site notices and undertaking site visits to application and neighbouring properties as required and writing up assessments under delegation or for committee.

This is a friendly Planning department, and my client are looking for someone to be part of the team. This Local Authority is taking on a large number of major development projects, this is a great opportunity to potentially progress your career.

The Successful Candidate

You will ideally be MRTPI accredited and must hold a degree relative to Town Planning. You should also have proven experience working on similar projects in the UK and knowledge to hit the ground running with little to no supervision.

Flexible working is available, my client are willing to offer 2 days per week working from home.
