Penguin Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a leading development consultancy on their current requirement for a Graduate Town Planner in their Durham office. This business offer high quality land and planning services to the renewable energy, waste and minerals, residential and commercial property sectors throughout the North of England and Scotland.
Requirements
- Strong academic background with an RTPI accredited degree and/or masters in town planning or another relevant qualification
- Professional experience working within the planning sector
- Demonstrable knowledge of the UK Planning System
- Knowledge of current legislation, planning policy and guidance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic and driven approach
- Full UK driving licence
About the Role
The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive team of planners and will have the chance to work on a broad range of challenging and exciting development projects. You will assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents and will maintain a strong working knowledge of currently legislation and policy. Working as a Graduate Town Planner, you will work closely with colleagues and clients, keeping them informed of progress. You will maintain strong working relationships and ensure that all work is delivered in a professional and effective manner.
