Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 plus company car

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Development Planner to join a respected developer as part of their Durham based team. The successful Development Planner will be working to prepare applications and identify new sites for residential, commercial and renewable energy developments.

Qualifications and Experience:

For this role candidates will ideally have a BSc /MSc (or equivalent) in an appropriate RTPI accredited discipline and will have either achieved Chartered planner status or be working towards this. Due to the travel commitments involved with the role a UK driver's licence is essential.

In this instance applications are sought from candidates with a minimum of two years' planning experience, ideally within a Local Authority or Developer environment.

Duties:

- Delivering planning advice

- Preparing planning applications and environmental assessments for a variety of developments

- Identifying suitable new sites

- Developing planning strategies

- Presenting evidence at public inquiries

- Mentoring junior members of the team

- Developing relationships with stakeholders and local authorities
