PLANNING OFFICER
GRADE 9 £29,909 - £32,233 + Golden Hello of £1,500 per year for 2 years
Located on the Lancashire coast, with Preston, Blackpool and the Lake District nearby, Wyre is an area of great contrast and includes urban areas, seaside resorts, a port, traditional market towns and picturesque villages within an extensive rural area that includes part of the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The combination of such a diverse area and high development pressures present an interesting and challenging mix of urban and rural planning and regeneration issues.
We are looking to recruit a Planning Officer with demonstrable experience in Development Management to join our Development Management team.
Experience of processing planning and related applications, including consultation, negotiation and assessment and a sound knowledge and understanding of current planning policy and legislation is essential.
In return we can offer you a salary up to £32,233, a £1,500 golden hello for 2 years, extensive learning and development opportunity, free onsite parking, up to 28 days annual leave plus all bank holidays, flexible working, Local Government Pension Scheme and discounted gym membership.
For further information about the position please contact Lyndsey Hayes, Development Manager, on 01253 887230.
