Planning Officer (Town Planning Policy)

Salary: £23,866 to £26,470 per annum

Hours: Full time - 37 per week

This role is:

  • Focussed on assisting in the development of the Borough’s planning policies through the collection and analysis of a wide range of qualitative and statistical information which will be used to inform policy making.
  • Providing planning policy advice both internally and externally and being involved in wide ranging public consultation.
  • Involved in preparing the Cheltenham Plan and working on the wider Joint Core Strategy (for Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury boroughs). 

The successful person will:

  • Have an undergraduate Town Planning qualification in a relevant subject, or have experience of the built environment sector.
  • Keen interest in planning policy development, be enthusiastic and thorough and enjoy varied work in a small and busy team with tight deadlines.
