Archaeology & Built Heritage specialists required to join a leading independent consultancy, with offices throughout the UK.

My client are set to grow their Archaeology & Built Heritage team extensively in the coming months and are looking for experienced individuals from Senior to Associate grade to join their nationwide team.

My client has a long track record providing high level advice on planning matters and development projects to a range of clients.  The business has built enviable relationships with many types of clients focussing on a broad range of sectors including retail, residential, commercial and industrial, leisure and tourism and infrastructure.

The Role

You will be responsible for the provision of high quality heritage planning advice and support to private and public-sector clients as part of a professional and commercial team of experts.  In particular:

• Critically review and evaluate permissions for development with heritage, historic landscapes and archaeology.
• Provide advice to clients and other consultants on heritage sites, listed buildings and conservation areas.
• Prepare statements of significance, characterisation assessments and conservation audits.
• Prepare visual impact assessments.
• Prepare heritage appraisals and statements.
•  Delegate work and provide guidance to junior staff.

Location

Flexible.  The opportunity can be based in Bristol, London, Gloucestershire, Manchester or Birmingham.

The Person/People

If you are an ambitious and motivated individual who is keen to meet the challenges of working in a highly commercial, professional consultancy practice.

You should have solid heritage or archaeology expertise,  and are ready to take on a new challenge within a growing  heritage business stream.  You  should be able to demonstrate excellent project management skills,   and for more senior candidates have a track record in business development.
