Full Time and Permanent

A leading independent and integrated planning and design consultancy in Cambridge are looking to recruit a talented Planning Consultant to join their friendly, inclusive and supportive office.
You will join a consultancy with offices across the UK and a large network of planners to develop alongside. In this role you will work on a diverse range of projects in the residential, commercial, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Key responsibilities of the role include the preparation, submission and negotiation of small - medium sized planning applications. You will assist on major applications (Outline, Full, Sub Framework Plan and Reserved Matters) which would include attending meetings, drafting planning statements, public consultation and responses to consultees.
You will also conduct research and site appraisals, assist with the promotion of a range of development proposals, draft policy representations and assist with appeals.
In order to apply, you will;
-Be MRTPI qualified or working towards it
-Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Are personable and professional with high levels of motivation, ambition and drive
-Have excellent team-working skills
-Are commercially minded and take on personal responsibility
-Are hardworking and have a good sense of humour
-Have an ability to manage their own time and workload
-Are IT proficient (specifically Microsoft)
-Hold a full UK driving licence and are willing to travel nationally
