The role provides an opportunity to make a positive contribution to safeguarding the special character and appearance of the East Riding.  This  key role involves investigating complaints and contraventions of planning control, collecting evidence to support the instigation of formal enforcement procedures as well as mentoring enforcement officers and supporting planning officers in relation to enforcement matters.

You will have good communication and negotiation skills and be able to work in a methodical and organised way.  We seek an individual who has relevant experience in town planning and enforcement or a closely related discipline as well as experience of working within Development Management. A full driving licence together with the necessary skills and a “can do” attitude are essential.
