Title: Town Planner
Location: Exeter
Salary: Excellent salary + Benefits package
My client, one of the UK's leading Housebuilders have a vacancy for a Town Planner with Development Control or Development Management experience to join their successful and growing land and planning team in Exeter.
2016 has seen continued growth in the business which has led to more and more exciting jobs being made available at all levels and in multiple disciplines across the whole Group. Our client build over 15,000 beautifully designed new homes each year nationwide and are committed to the highest standards of design, construction and service.
As a Planner you will be part of a small yet busy planning team, handling a varied range of planning applications for both strategic and immediate sites, of varying scales and complexity. The role offers a broad area of responsibility for all areas of the development process including planning policy and promotional work along with detailed development management and delivery.
My client has a long history of developing careers and promoting planners from within to senior positions within the business. They offer continuous training to and will keep you up to date with current planning issues including the direction of travel with appeals and any reform of the system.
Job requirements:
Someone who has initiative, is committed and commercially minded. The successful applicant will have a Degree / Masters Planning Degree with RTPI accreditation and a rounded knowledge of planning. This experience can come from either the public or private sector and you will hold ideally hold MRTPI.
