Job Details
A Local Authority in Gloucestershire requires a Principal Planner to join their Development Management team.
About the Role
The Council is looking for an experienced Planner who can hit the ground running on major applications. You will be managing a caseload of major applications, working on residential schemes and commercial mixed-use developments. You be attending committee and writing detailed reports. You will also be working on appeals and upcoming public enquiries and negotiating with developers and members of the public.
The contract will be for an initial 3 months with a view to extend. The council can offer competitive rates and flexible working arrangements. The IR35 status has yet to be determined.
About You
Candidates should hold several years' experience of planning Development Management experience within a Local Authority, having previously dealt with major applications. It would be preferable if you were MRTPI accredited.
