Senior Town Planner

A leading Architecture and Design practice are looking to appoint a Senior Planner to join their expanding team, lead on major projects and assist with managing and mentoring of junior team members.

With an increasing workload and involvement on projects with both the Architects or on a solely Planning offering, the team are working in numerous sectors such as residential, hotel & leisure, commercial and retail. Projects have included high end urban developments or major PRS tower schemes.

As a Senior Planner in the team, you will be attending client meetings, site visits and advising on the best strategic vision for the client moving forward, relating to all Planning matters. You will be preparing and submitting complex applications, working closely with the local authority and major stakeholders, reviewing junior team member’s work and reporting to the Director with any issues that arise during the project.

You should have between 3 and 5 years’ experience, preferably within consultancy however public sector candidates will also be considered, and you will have worked in a Planning related role. A strong knowledge of the UK planning system will enable you to be immediately involved in major projects and membership of the RTPI will allow you to take responsibility for clients of your own.
