Ambitious Town Planning Director (or Associate Director with a view to future Director position) with proven track record required for consultancy in the West of England.
My client is seeking an experienced Town Planning professional to join their growing consultancy at Director or Associate Director level, delivering planning services, developing new business and assisting with management of junior staff.

My client is a medium-sized multi-disciplinary practice with expertise in Town Planning, Chartered Surveying and Urban Design. Their work focuses heavily on quasi-residential projects spanning from 2-300 units alongside a growing commercial client base and Local Plan site promotion. Other projects are diverse in both type and scale with key sectors being strategic land, sport and leisure and education although your experience and client base in other areas will be equally desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, tenacious and commercially aware Town Planning professional to become a key member of the team and take the lead in the strategic development of the firm's Town Planning activities in the region. On this basis, our client is looking for a candidate who has excellent client facing skills and the ability to bring and maintain new business.
Day to day, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of complex projects to include site visits, preparing planning documentation, development control, appeals and site promotion functions as well as taking a principal role within the office, leading and managing team members across the discipline.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent and be a member of the RTPI and / or RICS (Planning Division) with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience.
Naturally, excellent communication, project and people management skills are essential to a role of this nature but ambition, dynamism and an eagerness to shine and progress to the very top are equally important.
In return our client is offering a very generous salary package where the base salary will be commensurate with experience plus very generous bonuses tailored to the individual.
