Planning Enforcement Officer - Newport - 6 Month contract

Are you an experienced Planning Enforcement officer seeking new opportunities?

Do you hold a degree in Town Planning or related subject?

Have you got previous experience within a Local Authority undertaking Planning enforcement?

We are seeking a Planning Enforcement Officer to join a Local Authority based in Newport.

Requirements:

- Degree educated in Town Planning

- Hold a minimum of 5 years Town Planning experience

- Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the planning system and legislation including development management

- RTPI registered and membership of the National Association for Planning Enforcement (NAPE)

The role:

- Undertake the role of Planning Enforcement officer with the Development Management team

- Statutory requirements for planing legislation and building regulations

- Investigate complaints of unauthorised development

- Investigate development sites during construction

The role is for a 6 month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your technical skill set within Planning policies, development control and enforcement while working on exciting projects across South Wales.
