Planning officer

A great opportunity has arisen for a Planner to work on a range of minor to medium applications predominantly household cases in one of Berkshires most historic towns on an interim basis.

This is a great opportunity for you to cement your place in an ever-growing Development Management team, this council have suggested there are 260 sites available for potential development in the coming years as they are looking to create places to live and improve the community facilities.

In addition, this successful candidates duties will include:

• providing pre-application advice and guidance to applicants and agents with the submission of planning applications
• Attend site visits
• Maintain electronic application files by scanning and indexing plans as well as correspondence
• Representing the council at committee when required

If you have a degree in Town & Country planning or practical experience working in development management on a caseload of predominantly minor applications for a local authority then this is a great opportunity for you to progress your career.
