Planning Officer (Development Management) – Permanent
Grade: 7 and 8. This is a career graded post ranging from grade 7 (£28,356 up to £37,098) to Grade 8 (£32,637 up to £41,847). The successful candidate will be appointed on a scale appropriate to their experience.
We have an exciting opportunity become available for a Planning Officer within our Development Management team.
Sutton’s Development Management team has a leading role in enabling the development and regeneration of a number of large and important sites throughout the borough. The Team has an excellent performance record and has delivered on a number of significant projects, most notably within Sutton Town Centre and Hackbridge, alongside notable schemes in other district and industrial in the borough.
We have played a critical role in delivering our ambitious growth plans which has, to date, secured a significant level of new investment and our enabling approach to development, particularly in our town , has unlocked this. With the establishment of a Local Authority led Housing Company, a school expansion program, proposals for a Tramlink extension and a recently adopted Local Plan, market interest is high and we offer a varied and stretching . We are committed to providing an excellent service to our residents and are passionate about creating places where people want to live and work. We have also been as being one of the top performing Local Planning Authorities.
The post is for a permanent Planning Officer within the Development Management Team.
