Graduate Planner - Leading Property Consultancy - £23,000 to £26,000 pa + attractive benefits package
Penguin Recruitment are pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading property consultancies on the appointment of an experienced Graduate Planner to their office in Maidstone.
The company have multiple offices across the UK and have a high number of Directors / Board members that have been promoted from Graduate level. The planning team are known for their ambitious, energetic and enthusiastic people and the business can offer the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most important and high-profile projects.
The position of Graduate Town Planner has a demanding and wide ranging workload and you will work alongside an experienced leadership team. Key duties for the role includes:-
-Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents.
-Working closely with colleagues and clients alike, keeping them informed of progress both verbally and in writing.
-Assisting with appeals as required.
-Attending site investigations alongside a senior team members, assessing planning potential and looking into historical precedents and planning restrictions affecting all developments.
-Working well as part of the team, but also where required independently, keeping to project deadlines and maintaining our clients high standard of work and delivery.
-Keeping up to date on all planning legislations and potential changes in the industry, including local plans, whilst maintaining a log book of all work carried out for future submission.
Job requirements
-RTPI accredited degree (2:1 or better)
-Previous planning experience ideal but Graduates due to qualify this year are also welcome to apply.
-Enthusiastic and driven approach
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Attention to detail
-Valid driving license and access to a car
