My client, a leading property firm, work with public and private sector clients to offer high quality services ranging from planning and property management to finance and consultancy. Working in sectors including residential, retail, energy, leisure, mixed use and public sector, this business maintain a diverse portfolio of projects. Due to continued expansion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Planning Assistant to join the planning team in Darlington.
Requirements
Applying for the post of Planning Assistant, you will be expected to meet the following requirements:
- Strong academic background with an RTPI accredited degree and/or masters in town planning or another relevant qualification
- A minimum of two years' professional experience working within the planning sector
- Varied project experience, ideally demonstrating residential sector experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of current planning policy and legislation
- Chartered Town Planner or working towards chartered status
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiastic and driven approach
- Full UK driving licence
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a broad range of challenging and exciting projects within a variety of different sectors. You will work closely with clients and colleagues, maintaining excellent working relationships and ensuing that all work is delivered in a professional manner. As a member of the planning team, you will be involved with the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documents. You will be expected to maintain a strong working knowledge of currently legislation and policy.
