Job Details
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate Planning Consultant to join a leading planning and design consultancy in the Tyne and Wear area. My client offer high quality services including town planning, masterplanning, architecture, sustainability and landscape design.
Requirements
Applying for the role of Senior Planner, you will:
- Be MRTPI qualified
- Have excellent technical skills and experience in planning
- Have good local knowledge of the North-East planning market
- Demonstrate understanding and experience of working in consultancy or a similar environment
- Have experience managing projects of varying scales
- Be interested in business development
- Be confident liaising with clients, colleagues and sub-consultants
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be highly organised with an eye for detail
- Have the ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Have strong team working skills
- Hold a full UK driving licence
About the Role
The successful candidate will join a well-established planning team and will have the opportunity to plan and deliver projects of all scales and types. You can expect to work on projects in the residential, employment, retail and energy and infrastructure sectors and will provide invaluable assistance to clients. Your responsibilities will include promoting residential, mixed-use and other developments through development frameworks and subsequent applications. You will also conduct research and conduct site appraisals on various projects. The successful individual will contribute to the co-ordination of projects teams, both internal and external, and project management. Working within the planning team, you will also prepare and submit planning applications of all sizes.
