Charnwood is one of the largest Borough Councils in the country and sits between the three cities of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby.  It has the thriving university town of Loughborough and many picturesque villages. For planning professionals it offers the chance to be involved in some really exciting projects.

We require 2 motivated and experienced planning professional to assist the Team Leader Development Management in the delivery of development management services in our two area teams.  The role involves the supervision and mentoring of staff and overseeing their learning and development.  You will also be responsible for determining major, complex minor applications, overseeing householder and other planning applications, including their validation.

The department has recently had an organisational review and we are well positioned to continue providing a fantastic service to our customers.  There is lots of exciting development taking place in Charnwood and we have a great working environment.
