Are you a Senior Town Planner based in the North West looking to take a step forward in your career by joining an established Town Planning Consultancy in Preston?
Penguin are pleased to be working with a well respected consultancy who are looking to recruit a Town Planner with 3 to 5 years experience to work on a wide range of exciting projects across a variety of sectors.
The company have recently celebrated 30 years in business and work with a range of clients from major development and regeneration companies to individual members of the public. This role has arisen due to an increase workload and expanding clientbase.
The company offer a comprehensive range of services such including planning applications, development plan representations, enforcement, planning/development advice, specialist reports and appeals.
Currently our client is involved in a significant amount of residential-led developments however also work across a number of sectors including retail / commercial, leisure, industrial, energy & waste, education / care, equestrian and agriculture. These projects typically fall in the North West of England however the company have relationships throughout the UK.

-Conducting research and site development appraisals;
-Promoting development land and client interests through representations to Development Plans;
-Preparation, submission and management of a variety of different types of applications and appeals, including the briefing and co-ordination of project teams comprising external consultants;
-Preparation of a variety of types of statements in support of applications and appeals;
-Undertaking community consultation exercises;
-Developing client relationships;
-Further raising the teams profile and Business Development.
-RTPI accredited degree in Town and Country Planning or an associated qualification
-3 to 5+ years planning experience (Public or Private sector)
-Be able to demonstrate a broad range of core planning skills
-Work well independently as well as within a team
-Strong report writing skills
-Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
