Service Manager - Development Management

We are currently recruiting for a Hertfordshire-based local authority, who are looking to bring on an Interim Service Manager for their Development Management team. 

This post of a second tier post in the planning service, and will involve managing a team of 10 professional planning staff at senior level, whilst getting involved in some of the more significant cases in the borough.

There will be interaction with senior management and senior politicians of the organisation, and it is expected that the post holder would have the skill and experience in relation to this level of working and would manage and drive their team to ensure that workloads are met and that a quality result is produced.

The council offices are within easy reach of London by road and rail, should you be looking to commute from the city, and there is parking available for staff. 

Hourly and daily rate will vary based on your relevant experience and the skills you can bring to the position, if you have a figure in mind, please let me know and I can do my best to negotiate this for you.

The position will be a 3-6 month rolling contract, and it is likely to roll beyond 6 months.
