 The role would be for a fixed period, with potential to appoint at varying levels depending on the level of qualification, skills and experience. There may be the opportunity for the role to be extended or made permanent in the future.

 At Principal level, you will be an experienced Planner with experience in dealing with major and complex proposals and will have appropriate professional qualifications. This post will offer you a diverse range of projects and applications, working closely with the Planning Leadership Team in playing an active role in delivery of the Island's growth and regeneration agenda.

 At Senior level, you will be an established Planner with relevant qualifications and experience, looking to progress and pursue a new challenge within dynamic, and forward looking service. This role will be focused around delivery of the Development Management and Enforcement functions with the ability to participate in a diverse range of development types and relevant issues.

 At Officer level, you will be able to show a level of active planning experience and/or qualifications the post would provide an opportunity to continue career development. This role will be focused around delivery of the Development Management and Enforcement functions.

 At a Graduate level the post would provide an interesting challenge for a recently qualified individual or someone working towards a relevant qualification, in the early stages of their career and seeking to gain experience of working in a Local Authority in relation to all aspects of Planning.
