Town Planner - Development Management
New Contract Role!
This Client based in Oxfordshire, is looking for a Town Planner to work within it's Development Management team initially for a 2/3 month(+) contract.
Your new role
Dealing with your own caseload of minor and intermediate planning applications which will include; householder extensions, changes of use, listed building consents, prior approvals and Certificates of Lawfulness, your duties will include;
Providing general advice and guidance on planning matters to applicants, members and the general public
Replying to general correspondence, e-mails and answering telephone queries on planning applications, appeals and general planning matters in accordance with department timescales.
Attending meetings with Members, applicants and the public as required, providing advice and guidance on applications and all relevant development issues.
Providing support to the Team Leader in the preparation of documentation for Development Control Committees.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally with a degree in Town Planning or equivalent, you should have recent experience processing planning applications in either a public sector or private sector environment.
