My client, a Local Authority based in the West Midlands are urgently seeking a senior/principal planning officer to join their planning team on a temporary basis. The role is on a 3 month initial basis with a very high chance of extension, they are also offering flexible working.  including the opportunity to work with condensed hours. The rate on offer for this position is completely dependant on experience, and is up for discussion and negotiation, however the client are willing to pay great rates for the right candidate.

You will have your own caseload of applications and will be expected to get going with minimal supervision. Your caseload will include mainly minor applications, including complex minors and others, however there will also be the inclusion of some majors week if needed. You will also be expected to complete site visits, so a full UK driving license is essential

To be considered for the position you will need a minimum of 4 years of planning experience working for a local authority. Desirable would be a candidate who has a planning degree or equivalent qualification and be working towards or have achieved RTPI membership status.
