Head of Planning
My client is currently in search for a head of planning to get going with a new contract on an interim basis, the role will last an initial 5 months, and the client are looking to interview and offer the position as soon as they can. The rates being offered for this role are negotiable, and dependent on experience, however the client are willing to offer exceptional rates to the right candidate.
The role will include running and managing the planning team on an interim basis. The main duties of the position will be to manage the team of 27 individuals working in the planning department, to consider and understand the political sensitivity involved in various contentious applications, to assist in overseeing various applications as they move through the planning process, and to maintain relationships with various stakeholders and members of the public.
Expected from applicants would be previous experience working at manager, head of, or director level at a local authority, preferably in a planning discipline.
