York strategic planning chief moves on
Martin Grainger, City of York Council’s head of strategic planning, has left the local authority.
Grainger left the council last month.
The council would not provide further details on Grainger’s departure, but its director of economy and place, Neil Ferris, said: “Martin has done a great job supporting the local plan to the critical publication draft, and we’re moving to the regulation 19 consultation next week.”
In November, York was named by the communities secretary Sajid Javid as one of 15 local authorities that had failed to make sufficient progress on their local plans and could face government intervention.
