London-based planning consultancy Iceni Projects has appointed Robert Stockford as a senior planner.

Stockford joins the firm after seven years working as an environmental planner in the North East.

His new duties include assessing sites for renewable energy projects, masterplanning and urban extensions.

Ian Anderson, executive director of Iceni Projects, said: “It is great that Iceni Projects continue to attract such a high-calibre of staff. We are experiencing an increased workload across a range of sectors.”

Stockford worked as a project manager for RWE Npower Renewables as a project manager between 2008 and 2012, before becoming a development planner at developer Banks Group in Durham, the role he left for Iceni.

He gained a batchelors degree followed by a diploma in town planning from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
