DTZ appoints new head of North East planning

Property consultant DTZ has appointed a new associate director to head its town planning team in the North East of England.

Katherine Brooker, a chartered town planner will join from law firm Bond Dickinson, where she worked on planning issues across healthcare, education, industrial, the historic environment, private estates, commercial development and housing.

At DTZ she will focus on preparing, submitting and securing planning permission for major developments.

She will also provide advice on the lawful implementation of development, planning feasibility, estate strategies and promoting land through the development plan process.

Tony Hordon, head of DTZ’s Newcastle office, said: “Katherine is a fantastic addition to the Newcastle office. She brings with her a wealth of talent and experience and will be a great asset both locally, and to our UK wide planning team.”
