Chris Watts has been promoted to associate in the planning team at property consultant Cushman & Wakefield.

Watts, a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, joined the firm in 2011, based in the national planning team in London since 2011, specialising in retail planning.

He joined the firm from consultancy GVA, where he worked as a planning, development and regeneration consultant in Manchester.

The promotion is among 62 which the company has made across all divisions of its business.

John Forrester, chief executive EMEA at the firm said that the move was in line with the firm’s commitment to offer clear career paths and progression opportunities.

Watts is a member of the National Retail Planning Forum and its research group.

He has a master’s degree in town and country planning from the University of Manchester.
