Two planners join NJL Manchester office

NJL Manchester staffPlanning consultancy NJL has expanded its Manchester team with the appointment of two new staff members.

James Ashford joins as a planner from rival firm Peter Brett Associates, where he was a planning and development consultant.

He is joined by Laura Haynes, who joins as a graduate planner from contractor Styles and Wood.

Ashford previously worked as a planner for consultancy Foxley Tagg Planning, as a team leader at supermarket chain Sainsbury’s and at consultancy Paul Butler Associates.

He has a master’s degree in urban regeneration and town planning from the University of Manchester as well as a bachelor’s degree in city and regional planning from Cardiff University.

Haynes is an elected RTPI North West Young Planner committee member.

The firm said that its recruitment programme brings the total number of staff to 16 across its Leeds and Manchester offices.
