Planning consultancy Turley has announced that Stephen Bell will lead its Manchester office.

Bell, who has been promoted to office director, succeeds Dave Trimingham who has been appointed to the company’s board.

Trimingham will continue to lead client work in the North West in addition to taking on wider corporate responsibilities.

Bell, who formerly led property firm GVA's planning team in Manchester and moved to Turley in 2013, said: “The move to Turley has been very positive.  Our team is active across the North West and recent expansion of our services equips us well to respond to our clients’ needs. I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the business through the next phase of growth.”

Turley chief executive Rob Lucas said: “This is an important move of succession for us in 2014 as we respond to economic recovery. Stephen and Dave will work well with the company’s teams in delivering success for our clients.”
