Consultancy Turley has continued to expand its Manchester office on the back of rising demand for new housing.

Residential specialist Nick Graham joins as senior planner from GVA where he held the post of principal planner.

He told Planning: “It's a buoyant housing market and a competitive market for consultancy. Builders are active with current schemes and land buying so there's lots in the pipeline.

“The improved economy helps in the short term but the growth reflects the fact there's massive demand for new homes and that's not going anywhere in the short, medium and probably long term.”

Graham’s appointment – the eleventh this year – takes the headcount at Turley’s Manchester office to 66, making Turley Manchester one of the largest multi-service planning teams in the region.

Office director Stephen Bell: “Our ambitions for growth and the expansion of our services, both regionally and nationally, make Turley an exciting place to be right now.”
