Tibbalds recruits two new planners

Matt Shillito and Fiona Sibley at TibbaldsConsultancy Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design has appointed two new planners – one returning to the firm after 10 years. 

Chartered planner Matt Shillito worked for the firm from 1998 to 2004 as an associate before moving to become assistant director of planning at the City of Vancouver in Canda.

He rejoins the firm as a consultant planner.

Meanwhile, former journalist Fiona Sibley has joined the firm as a senior planner from rival consultancy Quod, where she was a consultant.

She completed a master’s degree in spatial planning at the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London in 2011.

Prior to that, she worked as a journalist at The Guardian and as features editor for Design Week and features editor at Grand Designs magazine.

Shillito studied at the University of Southampton and the University of Cardiff, before receiving a postgraduate diploma in urban design from the University of Westminster.

Hilary Satchwell, director of Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design, said: “Matt and Fiona’s appointments come at a time of growth for Tibbalds.”
