Matt Thomson is leaving his post as head of land use and planning at countryside charity the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE).

In a post on Twitter last week, Thomson said he would be leaving CPRE in “a couple of weeks”. He has not revealed his future plans.

He joined CPRE in 2014 and was previously head of policy and practice at the Royal Town Planning Institute.
