Mark Tewdwr-Jones, a professor of town planning at Newcastle University, is to leave the city to take up a new post in London.

Tewdwr-Jones will be joining University College London (UCL) as professor of cities and regions in June 2020.

A statement from UCL said Tewdwr-Jones “will develop interdisciplinary research and engagement capabilities on cities and regions across UCL, and enhance urban knowledge and innovation in the field of digital democracy and place-making, and the future of London”.
