Consultancy announces new managing director for planning

Professional services firm Tetra Tech UK has announced a new leader for its planning business as well as a string of promotions nationwide.

The firm, formerly WYG, has appointed David Cowan as managing director for its planning business.

Cowan moves from his role as managing director, planning and environment, at miltidisciplinary consultancy RPS.

He has over 20 years of experience in planning, heritage, transport and environmental consultancy and has specialist expertise in residential and mixed-use developments and transport, according to Tetra Tech.

After planning consultancy WYG’s acquisition by US-based consulting and engineering firm Tetra Tech in 2019, the firm re-branded last week as Tetra Tech UK.

Following this, assistant planner Jozie Bannister has been promoted to planner, and planners Lydia Prince and Chris Bradshaw have been promoted to senior planners.

In addition, principal planners Peter Campbell, Lucy Farrow and Rebecca Randall have been promoted to associate planners, and principal planner Nick Billington will take on the role of associate director.
