Bournemouth-based planning consultancy Tanner & Tilley is looking to expand on the back of an upswing in development activity relating to large-scale projects.

The firm is currently recruiting for a planner to join its team to help deal with extra workload. The new recruit will be responsible for providing professional advice to clients through all stages of the planning application process.

The firm said its decision to expand becomes on the back of increased workload across all areas of the business, including residential, commercial, retail, industrial, and leisure.

It said clients are developing more sites, and described the construction industry as “buoyant”.

Peter Tanner, managing director at Tanner & Tilley, said: “Our decision to seek a further qualified planner is an indication of the continued growth and confidence in the development market we are finding.

“An increasing number of existing clients and new clients are coming to us and we require a new pair of hands to cope with the anticipated work load.”
