CaterhamTandridge District Council is expanding its planning team after a recent restructure.

Local plan manager Marie Killip told Planning: “Part of the restructure requires more staff to deal with a new local plan, neighbourhood planning and town centre masterplanning.”

The council wants to recruit two senior planning officers - one on a permanent and the other on a fixed-term basis.

Tandridge, on the edge of several London boroughs, is predominantly rural with specially designated countryside including the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty.

Built-up up areas include Caterham (pictured) and Oxted which are currently being lined up for improvements in retail and leisure.
