Sweeney joins Story Homes as planner

Chartered planner Siobhan Sweeney has joined housebuilder Story Homes as a planner.

Sweeney joins the firm from planning consultancy Indigo Planning where she served in an equivalent role.

She joins Story’s land and planning team at its headquarters at Ackhurst Business Park in Chorley.

Sweeney said that her new role would involve helping the firm acquire the right sites to ensure business growth, as well as project managing sites already in the planning process.

Prior to joining Indigo, Sweeney gained a master’s degree in town and regional planning from the University of Sheffield. Previously, she gained a bachelor’s in geography from the University of Leeds.

Story Homes currently has eight sites underway in the region across Central Lancashire, Fylde, South Lakes, Ribble Valley, Lancaster and Wyre.

Sweeney is one of nine new members of staff at the Chorley office as the firm undertakes a growth drive.
