CoastlineA planning restructure at Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils has led to the expansion of its development management team.

Planning development manager Phillip Rowson told Planning: “We've had a small restructuring and added a new enforcement team leader and are looking at other changes.

“Economically, we are promoting growth and regeneration to renew and refresh our communities, so this is a busy time for planning.”

The councils are looking to recruit a team leader in development management, which currently includes six planners.

Duties will include working on more complex planning applications and appeals and supporting infrastructure-delivery colleagues.

Rowson added: “We have merged most of our services including our planning teams to ensure we are delivering a high quality service in a cost effective way.”
