Studdert appointed to Civic Trust Awards panel

Independent planning consultant Peter Studdert has been appointed to the national panel of the Civic Trust Awards.

Studdert is among five new appointees who will join the panel, which makes the final decision on the level of awards to be handed out.

The Civic Trust Awards scheme was established in 1959 to recognise the very best in architecture, design, planning, landscape and public art.

Studdert is an architect and MRTPI town planner currently working as an independent adviser on city planning and design based in Cambridge.

He was formerly director of joint planning for Cambridge’s growth areas and planning director at Cambridge City Council,

In the early part of his career he worked for the City of Westminster and the London Boroughs of Islington and Tower Hamlets.

He is chair of the quality review panel for the London Legacy Development Corporation and is an adviser to English Heritage and Design Council Cabe, as well as serving on a number of local design review panels.
