St Albans District Council is expanding its planning team to help it deliver proposals set out in its emerging local plan.

The Hertfordshire council submitted its draft local plan for examination in March. The plan has a housing target over the 16 year period 2020-2036 of 14,608 additional homes at an overall average of 913 homes per annum.

To help it deliver this, the local authority is seeking to recruit a raft of new planning staff, including a senior planning officer, deputy planning team leader and a senior spatial planning officer.
