Southall on the rise at Bilfinger GVA

Property consultancy Bilfinger GVA has promoted Michael Southall to the position of principal planner in its Cardiff office.

He joins the planning, development and regeneration team, working on a range of projects within the energy and residential sectors including a 5MW solar farm in Pembrokeshire and a 210-unit residential development scheme for developer Harrow Estates. 

Southall is a chartered town planner, joining Bilfinger GVA in 2013 from Newport City Council. He served two spells at the council, initially as planning assistant and then as senior planning officer, with a short spell at consultancy DPP in between.

He has a master's in regeneration studies and a bachelor’s degree in city and regional planning, both from Cardiff University.
