Smart Planning appoints two consultants
Essex planning consultancy Smart Planning has appointed two new planning consultants to its team.
David Wallis has joined as senior planning consultant after studying and providing freelance consulting advice in Hong Kong.
James Cole has also joined the firm after working in Canada for the past two years as a planning consultant with the Toronto Financial District Business Improvement Area and the City of Toronto.
Wallis gained a BSc in environmental planning followed by a 2006 postgraduate degree in the same subject, both from Anglia Ruskin University.
He then worked for Essex County Council as a planning officer in minerals and waste, before moving to Maldon District Council as a senior development manager, and then moving to Hong Kong in 2012.
Cole moved to Canada after graduating from University of Sheffield in 2011 with a BA in geography and planning.
