Chris Sinton has taken up the role of senior planner in the Manchester office of property consultancy GL Hearn.

Sinton joins the firm from planning consultancy HOW Planning, where he had recently been promoted to senior planner after working as a planner since 2012.

His new job will focus on preparing and submitting planning applications and moving sites through the development plan process.

Mike Baker, planning director at GL Hearn, said: “Chris’ skills in the residential sectors will be invaluable as we have recently been successful in securing new work from a number of house builders.”

Prior to joining HOW, Sinton worked as an environmental planner at environmental consultancy Wardell Armstrong.

He has a master’s degree in planning from the University of Manchester and a bachelor’s degree in biology from University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
